MSC’s Genesis Series of microwave radio equipment utilizes the latest digital MPEG-2 compression and multiplexing technology with factory efficient manufacturing techniques to produce systems with superior performance, reliability, comprehensive system design flexibility and affordable pricing.

This QPSK 70 MHz modulator multiplexes four MPEG-2 encoded video programs onto a single RF carrier to be used as a satellite up-link driver. By using this MPEG-2 multiplexing technology, the user realizes four times the video program capacity thus producing significantly greater revenues per uplink. The modulator is packaged in a two RU assembly for use in SNG vans and at network head ends. The multiplexer provides all of the programs identifiers, PID’s, necessary to easily demodulate each program with inexpensive satellite set top boxes.

The equipment’s LCD and OSD features provide for all of the configuration and diagnostic details. These control features provide the user with easy access to the operational configuration menus necessary to fully utilize the system’s capabilities.
